Well, I fought Joe Lauzon and lost. I didnt just lose, I lost without even really getting to fight. Joe over whelmed me and I never was able to start, Congratulations to him. I felt fine going into the fight. My weight cut was the easiest ever and I had a great group to corner Joe came out hard and kept the pressure on me. After some of the shots he landed, I honestly have no idea what happened or what was going on. I know I was armbarred, but I dont know which arm or why I tapped, because my arm feels fine.

I took this fight with 2 weeks to prepare and I truly felt that I would be ready. Would it have been different with a full camp? Ill probably never know. I am very disappointed with my performance and have a LOT to work on when I get home.

I spoke with Joe Silva from the UFC and he told me I would have at least one more chance and next time I would have the proper time to prepare. For that I am happy, but I still cant believe how bad that fight was for me.

On a different note, being back in the UFC and seeing how much its grown is incredible. On top of that, they have a top notch group who runs their promotion and it is really well done. EVERYTHING on time and professional.

I have 4 staples in my head and some bruising, but the real pain deeper. Ill be back to the gym as soon as I can to work out what went wrong and to prepare to come back stronger.

For those that support me, I am very sorry for this performance. It wasnt deserving of any support.

do not be sorry at all neville. Shit happens. You'll always get support, regardless.

it's about the ride mate...it's always been and will always be just about the ride.

don't stress on the bumps and hurdles along the way.

Gabe, you got nothing to be ashamed of. How many fighters even get to that level. I am pleased to hear the UFC is gonna give you a proper chance. Use this as fuel and come back and show why you deserve that shot.

Gabe, tough fight. But I know you will grow from this and your next fight will be a win back on track.

Dude, You fought in the UFC, Most people just have a dream to do this. Whatever the outcome just keep your head up, and kick some Ass as we know you have proven yourself to be able to do.......

Your performance is not the measure of whether you are deserving of support. You as a person are deserving of support and those of us who have been behind you will still be there next time. It was great to meet you, even if the outcome of the fight is not what we hoped.

Gabe, no one should judge you who hasn't been in the cage, ring, octagon, etc, themselves. And those who have been there, most likely understand that sometimes, this shit just happens. I have mad love for you, you're like a little brother to me. And, you are STILL kind of a big deal. Chin up. You'll be back. I'm playing derby in the OC Sept 11th...please come watch! It will be a blast!

Tough hop last night; but a fast-starter with a full camp in his home town is a lot to overcome on short notice. You still threatened on the ground, and despite the outcome, still looked like you belonged-- which, when talking about the premiere promotion in Mixed Martial Arts, on an international stage, is not something just anyone can say. Roll through this one, and with a strong camp, some lessons learned, and the benefit of a pretty prolific year behind you, I'm sure you'll feel a lot better about your next visit to the cage.

I'm glad that Joe Silva is giving you another chance.

Lauzon not only had the home town advantage but it was probably really stressful for you, not only coming in on short notice but going back into the UFC when you know Dana White and many of the fans are hostile towards you. Did that mess with your head at all? On the locker room cam you looked sort of nervous.

Lauzon always comes out really strong like that and then fades later, he beat Kenny Florian in the first round and I knew if he was going to win he would do it in the first round.

The good thing is whoever they give you next will probably greatly underestimate you now, and you'll have time to train, get used to being on the big stage again, and be less nervous so you can win.
