The small stuff

I realize Ive been really slacking on my blog. It just seems that every time Im motivated to write something, I end up getting distracted in one way or another.Im going to try once again to be more on it.

Ive been back with ZUFFA/UFC since August. Its really nice to be in an organization that well run. It really just comes down the the small stuff.

Weigh ins starting on time, not 3-5 hrs later, transportation covered to and from the airport, food per deim and plenty more. In the past 2 months there have been two other small things that the UFC has covered and it just makes me appreciate how things are run.

I was supposed to fight at UFC 123 in November. An injury made it impossible and I wasnt going to Michigan. There was a guy in the area who desperately wanted to go to the event. I was going to give him one of my comp tickets, but obviously wasnt fighting, so no comp tickets. I emailed Donna from the UFC and explained the situation. The guy who wanted to go had no money and this was a chance for him to live out a dream(seeing a UFC live). Donna got back to me and took care of it. She emailed me saying it wasnt a problem and it was covered. This was an event I wasnt even fighting on and wasnt even going to be at and UFC covered a favor for me. Now admittedly in scheme of things, it was a small gesture, but it counted.

Yesterday, I got home from training and was exhausted. I had just sat down on my couch when my doorbell rang. I go downstairs and there is a package for me. ZUFFA sent out every fighter on roster an Xmas present. Was it a ferrari? No, but it was a legitimate gift  and certainly not something that needed to be done. Once again, a small thing.
