Supporting cast

Like any major production(or minor one for that matter), whether its a movie or a concert, there are a large number of people that are involved to make it a success. Fighting is no different. Granted, the final product is decided by the individual(the fighter), but the final product is decided by the supporting cast who helped put it together.

This training camp has been hard and has really pushed me. I am extremely grateful to have to team and support that I have had for it though.

Training: I have been fortunate with my move to the LA/Valley area to find a great team in PKG. Each and every member has gone out of their way to help me and ensure this camp worked out, thanks guys. Master Bob Chaney. The Drive down to temecula to work with you was worth the 2hrs commute! Millennia jius jitsu/MMA. Always supportive and always my first real MMA home. Blackhouse. Great group and made me feel welcome even though I dont speak portugese! Erik Paulson and CSW. Coach Paulson is a encyclopedia of knowledge and he has always been very helpful. HollywoodBJJ. Sean flannery and his staff have always had an open door policy for me and its always great training. Thanks to each and every person who was on the mat sweating, bleeding, and cursing with or at me.

VALLEY CROSSFIT. When I first moved it was the first crossfit gym, that I checked out and after talking to Coach Mike Latch, I knew I had found a home. This gym is great and Coach Latch has gone above and beyond to try to assist me and get me in the best shape possible. He has used up his own time to see me flip tires, hit speed bags, slam slam balls, row and just be miserable(in a good way!). I also cant forget the pace driven runs at Runyon Canyon and elsewhere. Thanks Coach Latch and thanks to the people that train at VCF for their support and comradre. It made this camp great. Crossfit By Overload is also to be thanked. That was my first crossfit gym and whenever Im in temecula, I am greeted back into the fold and told to get to work!

Body Support: As my body breaks down from the constant battering of punches, kicks, takedowns, tire flipping madness, I have had 2 very special ladies keeping me together. I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am for them keeping this body moving through the pain. First off Bonnie Terry. Bonnie is a certified ART Specialist(look it up, painful, but it works) and works primarily on professional athletes. She has been ensuring that my aches and pains are just that and not full blown injuries. This woman does amazing work and I am very thankful that I know her. It is rare that you meet someone who is not only very gifted at their trade, but also phenomenal at it. Meet Bonnie and you will have met on of those people. Then there is Willie Stenholtz. Willie was my first miracle woman and although she is out in Upland and it is hard for me to get out there, she still pushes her elbows into my back and makes me cry for mercy, all the while knowing she is healing me. Thank you ladies, you are keeping this body pushing towards battle again.
